  • 200 grams sugar Granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces oranges For juice and zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is frothy and light.
  3. Add the zest and juice of the oranges, mixing well to combine.
  4. Carefully fold in the ground almonds, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until a smooth and homogeneous batter is formed.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased mold, and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool before unmolding. Serve with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar or alongside some cream.

Notes

For best texture, beat the eggs thoroughly to incorporate air. Choose ripe, juicy oranges for optimal flavor. Consider adding almond extract for extra nuttiness.
