  • 1/2 cup butter or coconut oil, softened
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • To taste chopped pistachios or almonds (optional) For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a spacious bowl, blend together almond flour, softened butter or coconut oil, maple syrup or honey, ground cardamom, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface.
  4. If desired, sprinkle chopped pistachios or almonds on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until the edges turn a light golden hue.
  2. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing them into 12 uniform pieces.

Notes

These bars can be enjoyed as a snack or dessert and pair well with herbal tea or yogurt. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
