Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream Filling
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container whipped topping (8 oz)
Toppings
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9 by 13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour half of this batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
  6. Spoon this filling evenly over the layer of chocolate batter.
  7. Spread the remaining chocolate batter on top.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly and drizzle with melted butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until mostly set.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. For storage, cover leftovers with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and keep in the refrigerator for up to three days. Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or using butterscotch chips for variations.
