Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (8 oz) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour half of this mixture into your prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until it’s fluffy.
  6. Spread the marshmallow filling over the layer of chocolate batter.
  7. Spoon the remaining chocolate batter over the top, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and drizzle with melted butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is mostly set but the top remains fudgy.
  2. Let it cool slightly and serve warm, topped with additional whipped topping.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. If you have leftovers, cover and store in the refrigerator for up to three days.
