Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
Topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping and spoon this mixture over the chocolate batter.
  6. Spread the remaining batter on top.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips and drizzle with melted butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until mostly set.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with a dollop of whipped topping or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. For storage, let it cool completely before covering it with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
