Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 200 grams All-purpose flour
  • 16 grams Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Wet Ingredients
  • 170 ml Fresh liquid cream
  • 50 grams Sunflower seed oil
  • 2 pieces Eggs
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • to taste Powdered sugar For dusting
Fruits and Sweeteners
  • 3-4 pieces Golden apples, peeled and cubed
  • 100 grams Chocolate chips Reserve some for topping
Zest and Flavorings
  • 1 Grated lemon zest

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until fluffy.
  3. Add the sunflower seed oil and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whip the fresh liquid cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the egg mixture.
Mixing the Batter
  1. Sift in the flour and baking powder, mixing until smooth.
  2. Fold in the cubed golden apples and two-thirds of the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Transfer the batter to a greased and floured 8-inch circular mold.
  2. Arrange slices of apple and sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips on top.
  3. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Let cool before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

This cake can be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days or in the fridge for a few extra days.
