Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until fully coated.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into small circles (about 4 inches in diameter).
- Place a generous spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create pockets and seal the edges by pressing them together.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving
- Serve warm and optionally drizzle with caramel sauce.
Notes
If there are any leftovers, store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
