Preparation
- In a saucepan, heat the apple juice and water together over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the apple-flavored Jello. Stir well until the Jello completely dissolves.
- Pour in the cinnamon whiskey and mix well.
- In small plastic cups, add a spoonful of apple pie filling to the bottom.
- Carefully pour the Jello mixture over the apple pie filling until the cups are nearly full.
- Place the cups in the refrigerator and allow them to set for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Once set, add a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired.
Notes
Store any leftover Apple Pie Jello Shots in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days. Keep them covered to prevent flavor absorption. You can substitute whiskey for more apple juice or sparkling cider for a non-alcoholic version. Experiment with different flavors of Jello and fruit fillings for variations.
