Method
Preparation
- Wash and dry the strawberries, then slice off the tops.
- Assemble each skewer using 2 strawberries, 2 pineapple pieces, 2 banana pieces, and 2 brownie pieces, alternating ingredients as you go.
- Place skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Melt candy melts according to package directions until completely smooth.
- Transfer melted candy to a Ziploc bag with a corner tip cut off and drizzle over the kabobs.
- Sprinkle assembled skewers with chopped peanuts.
- Chill the kabobs until ready to serve.
Serving
- Serve chilled but allow them to rest for 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature to enhance the fruit's aroma.
- Arrange skewers on a long platter over a paper doily or slate slab, and serve with whipped cream for dipping.
- Optional: Provide an extra saucer of warmed chocolate for a richer coating.
- Garnish with mint leaves or a light dusting of cocoa as desired.
Notes
Store assembled skewers in a single layer in a shallow airtight container, separated by parchment to prevent sticking. They keep well in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. For longer storage, assemble without the brownie or banana.
