Ingredients

Cake Ingredients
  • 1 box Devil's Food Chocolate cake mix
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk 1 can
  • 16 ounces caramel sauce 1 jar
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip 1 container
  • 4 bars Heath bars, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spritz a 9x13 inch dish with nonstick spray.
  3. Prepare the cake mix according to package directions and pour it into the prepared dish.
  4. Bake the cake until golden and inviting, approximately 30 minutes.
Adding Toppings
  1. Remove the cake from the oven and poke holes throughout the surface with the handle of a wooden spoon.
  2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
  3. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cake and spread it lightly.
  4. Refrigerate the cake for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Final Touch
  1. Spread the Cool Whip over the cooled cake.
  2. Sprinkle the chopped Heath bars on top.

Notes

Allow the cake to cool completely before adding toppings for a stable base. For a richer flavor, consider using homemade caramel sauce and feel free to add a handful of crushed nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt for an exciting twist.
