- Rinse the cranberries gently and set them aside.
Candying
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and granulated sugar, and bring to a boil.
- Add the cranberries to the boiling syrup and let them cook for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the cranberries with a slotted spoon and place them on a baking sheet.
- Allow the cranberries to dry out for a few hours.
- Roll the dried cranberries in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Let the sugary-coated cranberries set before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, infuse the water with spices like cinnamon or cardamom. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
