Ingredients
  

Apple filling
  • 2 pieces apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Dough and toppings
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 pieces caramel candy
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • to taste cinnamon sugar (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the apple mixture, cooking until tender and fragrant.
  3. Roll out each biscuit to create a flat disc as a base for the filling.
Assembly
  1. Place a spoonful of the warm apple mixture on each dough disc, then top with a piece of caramel candy.
  2. Enfold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to form bombs.
  3. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Allow the bombs to cool slightly before serving. Dust with additional cinnamon sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
