  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon Optional, but adds a nice warmth.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the flavor balance.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the oyster crackers evenly on the lined baking sheet.
Making the Caramel
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
Coating and Baking
  1. Pour the caramel over the crackers, coating them evenly.
  2. Sprinkle salt over the top.
  3. Bake for 7-9 minutes.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the treats cool completely before breaking into clusters.
  2. Store in an airtight container.
