Ingredients
  

For the cake
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup whole milk Room temperature for better mixing
  • 3 large eggs Room temperature for better mixing
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter For greasing the pan
For the filling
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For filling
For the caramel
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a cake pan with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, whole milk, eggs, melted butter, all-purpose flour, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Filling and Caramel Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, and heavy cream for the filling, stirring until smooth.
  2. In another saucepan, combine sugar, heavy cream, and butter for the caramel. Cook over medium heat, stirring until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Once the cake is cooled, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers.
  2. Spread the filling between the layers and drizzle the warm caramel on top before serving.

Notes

Serve the cake warm with whipped cream and enjoy with sweet tea or ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
