  • 2 cups Cooked Rice Day-old rice works best.
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for better flavor.

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika can add extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small chunks. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in the cooked rice, beef broth, and heavy cream. Simmer until the rice absorbs most of the liquid and becomes creamy.
  4. Grease a baking dish. Spread the garlic rice evenly across the bottom. Layer the cooked ground beef on top, then sprinkle cheddar cheese followed by mozzarella.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Optionally, broil for a few minutes for a golden top.
  2. Let rest before serving.

Notes

Serve with a salad or roasted vegetables for balance. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven for best results. Option for freezing if needed.
