Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients
  

For the garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 6 cloves garlic must be roasted
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil for roasting garlic
  • to taste salt and black pepper
For the bread and toppings
  • 1 large Italian loaf (take and bake style)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Havarti or white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (finely chopped) for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wrap the garlic cloves in foil with olive oil and roast them in an air fryer or oven for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  3. Mash the roasted garlic into a paste.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, roasted garlic, parsley, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of both bread halves.
Baking
  1. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella, Havarti or white cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered halves.
  2. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, slice into portions, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic or foil.
