Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually blend it into the butter mixture.
- Gently fold in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and chopped nuts.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, giving them space to spread.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies are best served warm and fresh out of the oven. They also make a lovely gift when placed in a decorative box or tin.
