Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
- In a large frying pan over medium heat, combine the butter and brown sugar, stirring gently until melted and smooth.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the old-fashioned oats, flour, and fine salt.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Spoon 1 teaspoon of batter onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each dollop.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the edges turn a golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheets for 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
