  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
Cream Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping
Chocolate Topping
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until glossy. Add the eggs and vanilla, blending until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until a thick brownie batter forms. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 20 to 24 minutes, until the center is set. Let cool completely before adding layers.
Filling Preparation
  1. For the filling, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping gently.
  2. Spread the cream filling over the cooled brownie base and chill in the refrigerator.
Topping Preparation
  1. For the topping, heat heavy cream and butter in a saucepan. Pour over chocolate chips, letting them sit for 2 minutes before stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour the chocolate topping over the cream layer and let chill for at least 3 hours before slicing into bars.

Notes

For optimal freshness, store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can last up to a week. To enhance flavors, consider adding a dash of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
