Preparation
- Drain the juice from the maraschino cherries and pour in the peppermint schnapps. Let the cherries soak in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- After soaking, gently pat the cherries dry.
- Melt the white chocolate discs in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
Dipping and Coating
- Dip each cherry into the melted chocolate, covering about 3/4 of them.
- Roll the dipped cherries in the crushed peppermint candies.
- Place the cherries on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set.
Notes
Ensure cherries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere better. Customize the peppermint coating with crushed chocolate or sprinkles for a fun twist.
