Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the yellow cake mix, mixing until a thick dough forms.

- Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
Baking
- Scoop out tablespoons of dough and roll them into 1 1/2-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in powdered sugar before placing them on the lined baking sheets with 2 inches of space between each.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool on sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
