- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat 1 cup of heavy cream for 1 minute at high power. Whisk in the unsweetened cocoa powder until fully combined.
- In a 4-quart crockpot, add the creamy cocoa mixture along with the remaining 2 ½ cups of heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly.
Cooking
- Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until fully incorporated.
- Cover the crockpot, set it to LOW, and heat the mixture for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
- Once heated, whisk again to ensure a smooth consistency. Switch the crockpot to WARM for serving.
Serving
- Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and top with mini marshmallows or any desired toppings.
Notes
