Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3.5 cups heavy cream, divided Divided into two portions.
  • 0.25 cups unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • to taste Mini marshmallows Optional garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat 1 cup of heavy cream for 1 minute at high power. Whisk in the unsweetened cocoa powder until fully combined.
  2. In a 4-quart crockpot, add the creamy cocoa mixture along with the remaining 2 ½ cups of heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly.
Cooking
  1. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until fully incorporated.
  2. Cover the crockpot, set it to LOW, and heat the mixture for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
  3. Once heated, whisk again to ensure a smooth consistency. Switch the crockpot to WARM for serving.
Serving
  1. Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and top with mini marshmallows or any desired toppings.

Notes

Serve in cozy mugs with nutmeg or cinnamon for an added festive touch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
