Filling

  • 1 cup 1 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together molasses, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the filling is set.
  2. Allow the pie to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Serve slices with whipped cream and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
