Ingredients
  

Churro Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • to taste vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon for coating
  • to taste Nutella for dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a quick boil.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in the flour until smooth and glossy.
  3. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then incorporate the eggs one at a time.
Frying
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Use a piping bag or zip-top bag to pipe small bites of the dough into the hot oil.
  3. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove churro bites and let them drain on paper towels, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mix.
Serving
  1. Serve warm alongside a generous dollop of Nutella for dipping.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the right temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day. Reheat in the microwave.
