Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a quick boil.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the flour until smooth and glossy.
- Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then incorporate the eggs one at a time.
Frying
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Use a piping bag or zip-top bag to pipe small bites of the dough into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove churro bites and let them drain on paper towels, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mix.
Serving
- Serve warm alongside a generous dollop of Nutella for dipping.
Notes
Ensure oil is at the right temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day. Reheat in the microwave.
