Cake Preparation
- Preheat your oven and follow the steps on the cake mix box, folding in half of the chopped Oreos before baking.
- Let your creation cool for 30 minutes.
Frosting Preparation
- While your cake is cooling, mix the butter and shortening until smooth.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Pour in the milk and food coloring until fluffy and vibrantly colored.
Assembling the Jars
- Layer the cake, frosting, and chopped cookies in mason jars.
- Top each jar with a dollop of frosting, two candy eyeballs, and half a chocolate chip cookie.
Notes
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Store in the refrigerator for up to five days. For added fun, use a piping bag when layering frosting.
