Ingredients
  

For the seafood
  • 1 large salmon fillet (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
For the sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste Lemon slices, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, brush the salmon and shrimp with olive oil. Sprinkle them generously with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange the salmon fillet in a baking dish, surrounding it with the seasoned shrimp and tucking lemon slices around the edges.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir until silky and smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce over the salmon and shrimp in the baking dish.
  4. Bake for about 20–25 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily and the shrimp are perfectly cooked.
  5. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.

Notes

For added heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce. Mix in fresh spinach just before serving for extra color and nutrition. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven or microwave.
