Ingredients
  

Custard Base
  • 3 tablespoon custard powder
  • 4 tablespoon milk (cold or room temperature)
  • 2 cups milk (for boiling)
  • 1/4 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 2 tablespoon almonds, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoon cashews, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
Fruits
  • 1 cup mango pulp
  • 1/2 cup mango, chopped
  • 1/4 cup banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 cup apple, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gently whisk the custard powder with a few tablespoons of cold or room temperature milk in a small bowl, creating a smooth paste. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, bring the remaining milk (2 cups) to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally.
  2. Once it bubbles, introduce the custard mixture and stir continuously for 3-4 minutes until it thickens.
  3. Add the sugar and allow it to dissolve.
  4. Stir in the roughly chopped almonds, cashews, and raisins and let them soften for a couple of minutes.
Mixing and Serving
  1. Once the custard cools completely, fold in the mango pulp and the chopped fruits (mango, banana, apple, pomegranate).
  2. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider infusing milk with cardamom or vanilla bean. Adjust sweetness with honey or agave. Experiment with different seasonal fruits.
