Preparation
- Gently whisk the custard powder with a few tablespoons of cold or room temperature milk in a small bowl, creating a smooth paste. Set aside.
Cooking
- In a saucepan, bring the remaining milk (2 cups) to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally.
- Once it bubbles, introduce the custard mixture and stir continuously for 3-4 minutes until it thickens.
- Add the sugar and allow it to dissolve.
- Stir in the roughly chopped almonds, cashews, and raisins and let them soften for a couple of minutes.
Mixing and Serving
- Once the custard cools completely, fold in the mango pulp and the chopped fruits (mango, banana, apple, pomegranate).
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider infusing milk with cardamom or vanilla bean. Adjust sweetness with honey or agave. Experiment with different seasonal fruits.
