Ingredients
  

Seafood Filling
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup crab meat or lobster pieces Lobster can be used for additional flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
Cheese Mixture
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Pastry
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 2 tbsp butter For sautéing.
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté the shrimp, crab meat, and minced garlic until tender.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, and the seasonings to create a flavorful filling.
  3. Gently fold in the sautéed seafood mixture until well blended.
Assembly
  1. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into even circles.
  2. Place a generous spoonful of the seafood filling in each circle, then fold over and crimp the edges.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brush the hand pies with the beaten egg and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden.
  3. Serve warm, garnished with more fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
