Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 large firm apples (like Fuji or Honeycrisp) Choose firm apples for the best texture.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar Can replace half with brown sugar for a spiced flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a small pinch salt
  • a little oil spray For even browning.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the apples and cut them into fry shapes.
  2. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Toss the apples in the coating until they are all covered.
Cooking
  1. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  2. Take them out when they are golden brown and eat them while they are hot.

Notes

These are best eaten the day they are made while the edges remain crisp. If you must keep leftovers, cool them completely on a rack, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Re-crisp in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes at 160–170°C (325–340°F) before serving.
