Frosted Lemonade Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 6 large lemons) Essential for the zingy flavor.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust according to your sweetness preference.
  • 1 cup VERY cold water Use cold water for best texture.
  • 6 cups vanilla bean ice cream Can substitute with non-dairy alternative for a dairy-free version.
  • 4 to 5 drops yellow food coloring Optional for a vibrant color.
  • 4 slices lemons Optional garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add the lemon juice and sugar to a 7 to 8 cup blender. Blend at low speed on either the milkshake or smoothie setting for 30 to 45 seconds.
  2. Keep the mixer at low speed and drizzle in the cold water. Blend for 10 to 15 seconds.
  3. Add the 6 cups of ice cream to the lemonade. Secure the lid and pulse on low until the ice cream and lemonade are well blended.
  4. Pour into 14-ounce glasses and serve immediately. For an extra chill, place freezer-safe serving glasses in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes before filling.

Notes

Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves for added color and flavor. Pairs beautifully with light summer meals and sweet treats.
