Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 2 pieces bananas Peeled and chopped
  • 1 piece apple Peeled and chopped
  • 1 piece pear Peeled and chopped
  • 1 handful red berries Fresh or thawed if frozen
Custard Mixture
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 100 ml liquid cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey Optional
For Assembling
  • butter to taste Butter for the dish For greasing the baking dish
  • to taste Grated almonds or grated coconut Optional for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Peel the bananas, apple, and pear, then chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  3. If using frozen red berries, thaw and drain them.
  4. Butter a gratin dish and arrange the fruits artistically.
Custard Mixture
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs along with the cream and vanilla sugar. If desired, add a splash of honey.
  2. Pour this mixture over the arranged fruits.
  3. Sprinkle with grated almonds or shredded coconut, if using.
Baking
  1. Slide the dish into the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow the gratin to sit for a moment before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added indulgence. Storage: Cover leftovers with cling wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to two days.
