Preparation
- Crush a full package of Oreo cookies in a food processor or zip bag until they are fine crumbs.
- In a bowl, add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and mix until you have a thick dough.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for 20-25 minutes in the fridge or 10 minutes in the freezer.
Coating
- Melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. If the mixture is too thick, stir in coconut oil to thin it out.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted candy using a fork, tap off the excess, and set back on the parchment.
- Add a red heart sprinkle on top while the coating is still wet.
- Let the truffles set at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to firm them up.
Notes
Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. They can be frozen for up to three months; thaw in the fridge before enjoying.
