  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, then cooled
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a spacious bowl, combine the granulated sugar, sifted cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, kosher salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, melt the butter and set aside to cool. Then, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together until smooth.
  4. Combine the melted butter and egg mixture with the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just incorporated.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-22 minutes.
Serving
  1. Once cooled, cut the brownies into generous squares. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream and fresh berries if desired.

For a nutty twist, consider adding chopped walnuts or pecans. Swirl in creamy peanut butter for a delightful balance. For a deeper flavor, try adding espresso powder or sea salt.
