Ingredients
  

Crust Ingredients
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs For the base of the cheesecake.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter To bind the graham cracker crumbs.
Cheesecake Filling Ingredients
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened Main ingredient for the cheesecake filling.
  • 1 cup sugar To sweeten the filling.
  • 3 large eggs To set the cheesecake.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds flavor to the filling.
Topping Ingredients
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced Fresh strawberries for topping.
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam To glaze the strawberries.
  • 1 cup whipped cream For decorating and serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until they resemble damp sand. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
Cheesecake Filling
  1. Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust.
Baking
  1. Bake the cheesecake for 50-55 minutes, or until the center is slightly set.
  2. Allow the cheesecake to cool completely and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Topping
  1. Toss the sliced strawberries with strawberry jam.
  2. Once the cheesecake is chilled, spread the glazed strawberries on top and pipe whipped cream around the edges.

Notes

For variations, try using different fruits or adding lemon zest to the filling. This cheesecake can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
