  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce For marbling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium bowl and mix it with granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well blended.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of hot fudge sauce onto the batter and swirl with a knife. Optionally, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  2. Let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  1. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delightful contrast.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to three months. Consider adding espresso powder or mint extract for variations.
