Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapeños, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is well blended and creamy.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into strips about 1 inch wide.
- Take a strip of puff pastry and place a spoonful of the cheese and jalapeño mixture at one end.
- Fold in the sides to enclose the filling, then twist the pastry to create a spiral.
- Place the twisted pastries on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden color when baked.
Cooking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the twists are puffed and golden brown.
