Ingredients
  

For the cake
  • 1 box 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large 3 large eggs
For the cheesecake layer
  • 8 oz 8 oz cream cheese (softened) Soften at room temperature for easy blending.
  • 1 cup 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the chocolate drizzle
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs; mix until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, blend softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy; spread over the batter.
  5. Spoon remaining batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
  6. Whisk together cocoa powder and milk; drizzle over the top layer.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow cooling completely before slicing.

Notes

Slice this cake into generous squares. Best served with coffee or milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
