Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened Use room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Jalapenos, fresh or pickled Pat dry if briny to avoid sogginess.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry, thawed Thaw according to package instructions.
  • 1 large Egg, for egg wash Beaten.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2-inch wide strips.
Assembly
  1. Spoon the filling onto one half of each strip, fold over, and twist to seal.
  2. Brush the tops of the pastry strips with egg wash.
Baking
  1. Place twists in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with ranch or sriracha mayo. Cool completely for storage in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To revive, bake in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes.
