Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 250 g packet scotch finger biscuits
  • 8 Weet-Bix
  • 395 g can condensed milk
  • 6 x 47g Mars bars, chopped Chop the Mars bars small so they melt uniformly.
  • 400 g milk chocolate, chopped Can use dark chocolate for a richer taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line the base of a 3cm deep, 16cm x 26cm slice pan with baking paper, allowing the paper to extend 3cm over long sides.
  2. Place the biscuits and Weet-Bix in a food processor and process until fine breadcrumbs form. Transfer to a medium bowl.
  3. Place the condensed milk, Mars bars, and half the chocolate in a saucepan. Melt over medium-low heat, stirring often, for 3 minutes or until smooth and combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Weet-Bix mixture. Stir well to combine. Press mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth the top.
  5. Place the remaining chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on MEDIUM, stirring halfway, for 1 minute or until melted and smooth. Pour chocolate over slice and smooth the top.
  6. Place in the fridge overnight to set. Remove the slice from the fridge and set aside for 30 minutes. Use a hot knife to cut them into squares to serve.

Notes

Serve chilled and allow to sit for a few minutes at room temperature for better texture. For serving, dust with cocoa or sprinkle flaky sea salt on top. Store covered in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze individual squares separated by baking paper for up to one month.
