For the Cocoa Mugs
  • 1 Regular-sized marshmallows
  • 12 pieces Cookies of your choice (like Fudge Striped) Can use sugar cookies, chocolate chip, or others.
  • 1 cup Chocolate melts Use flavored melts if desired.
  • 12 pieces Mini candy canes For handles.
  • 1 cup Mini dehydrated marshmallows Sprinkle mixes work well.
  • 1 cup Christmas sprinkles For decoration.
For the Snowmen Hats
  • 1 Marshmallow To create the snowman hat.
  • 1 Oreo Oreo cookie Base for the snowman hat.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Lay down a cookie on a sheet of parchment or wax paper.
  2. Melt chocolate melts in a microwave-safe dish for 1 minute, then stir. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds if needed, stirring until smooth.
  3. Cut a mini candy cane into two parts: the straight stick and the curved topper.
  4. Poke the curved candy cane piece into the side of a marshmallow to create a mug handle.
  5. Dip the marshmallow into melted chocolate, covering only the bottom and top.
Assembly
  1. Attach the chocolate-dipped marshmallow to the cookie. Insert the other piece of the candy cane into the chocolate.
  2. Add mini dehydrated marshmallows into the melted chocolate.
  3. Let the mugs set for a few minutes.
  4. Use a toothpick to place a dot of chocolate on the mug and attach decorative sprinkles. Hold until set.
  5. For the snowman hats, cover another marshmallow in chocolate, place it atop an Oreo, and decorate.

Notes

These mugs are fun to personalize with sprinkles. For a twist, try flavored chocolate melts. Making these treats can be a fun group activity!
