Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding, dry cake mix, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a larger bowl, beat softened cream cheese until fluffy, then fold in the pudding mixture until well combined.
- Unroll the pie crusts and cut into large squares, then into rectangles.
- Spoon cream filling into each rectangle and fold the dough over. Seal edges with a fork.
- If desired, create an egg wash by mixing the egg and water, and brush over the pies.
Baking
- Place the prepared pies onto the baking sheets and bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Finishing Touches
- Mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the pies once cooled.
- Top with Christmas sprinkles if using.
