Ingredients
  

For the Pie Crust
  • 4 9 inch uncooked pie crusts Store-bought or homemade
For the Filling
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 ounces) Ensure at room temperature for best texture
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding (3.4 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup yellow or white cake mix, dry mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons milk For desired consistency
For the Egg Wash (optional)
  • 1 large egg Beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
Garnish
  • Christmas sprinkles Optional but festive

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding, dry cake mix, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a larger bowl, beat softened cream cheese until fluffy, then fold in the pudding mixture until well combined.
  4. Unroll the pie crusts and cut into large squares, then into rectangles.
  5. Spoon cream filling into each rectangle and fold the dough over. Seal edges with a fork.
  6. If desired, create an egg wash by mixing the egg and water, and brush over the pies.
Baking
  1. Place the prepared pies onto the baking sheets and bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Finishing Touches
  1. Mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the pies once cooled.
  2. Top with Christmas sprinkles if using.

For best results, make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Feel free to customize the filling or seasonings to enhance flavors.
