Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter with mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for a few moments before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added texture, consider adding walnuts or chocolate chips. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to four days; refrigerate or freeze for longer storage.
