Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 3 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen
Crumble Topping
  • 2 tablespoons flour for crumble
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar for crumble
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon for crumble
  • 2 tablespoons butter for crumble

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, and sea salt.
  3. Mix in the cold cubed butter using your hands until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Press this mixture firmly into a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the cranberries evenly over the mixture.
Crumble Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Add in the remaining butter and mix until it resembles a coarse crumble.
  3. Sprinkle the crumble over the cranberries.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  2. Allow cooling for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

These bars are best served warm but are equally delicious at room temperature. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the refrigerator for longer. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
