Ingredients
  

Truffle Mixture
  • 1 cup orange-flavored chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Make sure it’s fresh for best texture.
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest Feel free to add more for extra zest.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Used for sweetness.
Coating
  • as needed Cocoa powder or crushed nuts For rolling truffles.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and add the orange-flavored chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the orange zest and vanilla extract.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Rolling and Coating
  1. Once firm, scoop out tablespoons of the mixture and roll them into balls.
  2. Roll each ball in cocoa powder or crushed nuts to coat.
Storage and Serving
  1. Place the truffles in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
