Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the rolls
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 piece egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract to form the filling.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.

Notes

Store leftover Pecan Pie Crescent Rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months, reheating in the oven before serving. Experiment with different nuts or add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling for variation. Chocolate chips can also be added for a sweet twist.
