Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the dough
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Assembly
  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point and space these crescents on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  4. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These Pecan Pie Crescents are great for parties and can be served with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze before baking for future enjoyment. Feel free to experiment with chocolate chips, cinnamon, or other nuts for variations.
