Quick & Easy Sheet Pan Breadsticks

These buttery and garlicky sheet pan breadsticks are easy to make and perfect for any meal. Soft and pull-apart with a delicious crust, they are a comforting addition to your dining table.

Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups warm water (105-115 degrees F) Ensure the water temperature is just right to activate the yeast.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon yeast Instant yeast works well for this recipe.
  • 3.75 cups all purpose flour Don’t over-flour the dough; it should be slightly tacky.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter Use half for greasing the pan and half to pour over the dough.
Topping Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated) Can be swapped for shredded mozzarella for a variant.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Using a dough hook attachment, slowly add flour and mix until a loose ball forms.
  3. Cover with a towel and let the dough proof for 30-45 minutes or until doubled.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a sheet pan by melting half of the butter and pouring it onto the pan.
  2. Place the dough in the center and press outward to cover the pan. Pour remaining melted butter on top.
  3. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning over the dough.
  4. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes until it rises about an inch.
  5. Cut into rows with a pizza cutter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until slightly golden.
  7. Remove and cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store cooled breadsticks in an airtight container or wrapped in foil at room temperature for up to 2 days. Freeze them in a freezer bag for up to 2 months; reheat in a 325°F oven until warmed through to restore freshness.
