Preparation
- Place hot water and Red Hots in a saucepan on the stove top. Stir and simmer on low heat until melted.
- Remove from heat and add the dry Jell-O powder. Stir until everything is dissolved.
- Stir in the applesauce and pour into a 2-quart size bowl. Chill until set.
Serving
- Serve in small parfait cups or glasses, adorned with a swirl of Cool Whip and a fresh strawberry, if desired.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider adding a dash of vanilla extract to the applesauce, and feel free to mix and match Jell-O flavors.
