Ingredients
  

Crust and Filling
  • 1 piece pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Consider toasting for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips Can substitute with dark chocolate.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until it forms a dough.
  6. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the pre-made pie crust.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Topping
  1. Drizzle caramel sauce over the crust.
  2. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the coconut.
  4. Allow the pie to set before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled or slightly warm, topped with whipped cream or additional coconut for a delightful presentation.
