Ingredients
  

Pizza Base

Cheeses

Sausage
  • 1/2 pound 1/2 pound ground beef sausage (cooked and crumbled) Cooked sausage, crumbled.
Seasonings
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons hot honey Plus more for drizzling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C) and place a pizza stone in the oven if you have one.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a floured surface. Lightly oil a baking sheet if not using a stone.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella, leaving an inch for the crust.
  4. Add dollops of ricotta cheese and scatter the cooked beef sausage over the pizza.
  5. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and season with salt and pepper.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 10 to 13 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  2. Drizzle with hot honey upon removing from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

Serve hot, straight from the oven. For those who love an extra sting of sweetness, drizzle a little extra hot honey at the table. To store, cool completely and keep slices in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
